Death

Who has the right to decide who lives and who dies? Morals and rights are relative. One person (or many) is of the opinion that Allah has told him all infidels must die. But in the infidel's opinions, they haven't done anything to deserve death. I say God does indeed have the right to say who lives or dies, if only because only He knows what we truly deserve, our true hearts, our true desires. It is man's interpretation that is and ever has been the sticking point in religion, and faith. And it is man taking things into their own hands that has created the world issues of today. When God does not make clear those gray areas of morality, when a situation becomes an if-then statement, I say, we can only do what we can do, we can only make decisions according to what our hearts tell us. If, in order to save the lives of those I love, someone else must die, that is regrettable, and I will regret the fact of their death. In all honesty I care too much for those people who care too little. It has ever been my failing to run from those who care as much as I. And so, any and all death and horror affects me. I don't see the necessity of pain in the world when there is so much more good to be done than ill. But I care even about the murderers, the rapists, the killers, the terrorists... sinners all. I am not in a position to judge, or condemn those less fortunate than I. Who am I to say a man deserves death? I cannot claim to know the worth of any man's deeds. If I am put in a position to control whether a man lives or dies, I want to choose life. In a fair world, I would choose life every time. But the world is not fair, and bad things happen. And regardless of the regret and sorrow it would engender, I place the lives of my loved ones above those of any others. I love. So sue me.

On a stranger note~

'Place confidence in a personal relationship'-Jones. Is it strange that I and my little cadre of crazies allow our lives to be ruled by bottle caps? Perhaps.

We have one vote for the idea that God owns the Jones Soda company. I say that if God owns the Jones Soda company, he's more twisted than I initially thought. And I thought he was twisted to begin with. So I vote, no thanks.
